☼ BIG DAY OUT ☼

yaaaaaay! noooooooo! okaaaaaaaay!
Wait I'm confused do I like the big day out or do I not. Its a tricky one because from my experience its either awesome! Or its boring as! you can tell the difference just y me mentioning a sentence from each. Sports, bowling, junglerama. Checking your bags for rats, hiking, bird watching, and More hiking. Now i don't want to make Zealandia look bad but... Wait who am i kidding, don't go there if you WANT to have FUN!

If I got to chose the big day out, I would definitely make sure it wasn't a sanctuary of ANY KIND! Come on teachers ADMIT IT! We have all been there and done that. Maybe if we did something interesting (and I don't mean Te Papa) kids would be happy on the day instead of spend all their time complaining.

I do like the idea of going back to h20 extreme, but I do understand that teachers think that kids bringing their tongs ruins the surprise. But the truth is that kids will be excited and will actually turn up instead of telling their parents they are sick. It would also be cool to go to some where like adrenalin forest or the trampoline park, but i do understand that younger kids couldn't go on the course and you have to be a certain age to 'flip, bounce, and play'. I do understand the immense pressure miss Taylor has to go through every year to think about something fun for all the years, But if she's reading I hope she take in a phew ideas of mine.

☮ ⓃⒺ Ⓧ Ⓣ ⓎⒺⒶⓇ ☮

So, next year I am going of  to ⓒⓞⓁⓁⒶⒼⒺ!!!
I am quite scared about it too.
I don't want to be in a big scary building with kids twice my size who absolutely HATE year 9's.
When you go to wellington girls, the collage I'm going to, you are assigned a tuakana. This is someone who is like your big buddy who helps you find your classes and is there if you need to know where anything is. sounds good right? WRONG! Because sometimes you can get a tuakana that forgets completely about you, and only signed up to be one because it would look good on there CV's. I am not excite for carrying my stationary around and I am defiantly not excited about the amount of homework collage brings to the table. So basically I amg going to try and stay in intermediate as long as I can.

... P.S ITS MY BIRTHDAY

# My future job ..............................................................................................................

Dear future me, his a few things you'll need to know if, you want to be, very happy, all of your life.
Ok that's just an edited piece of lyrics from one of Meghan Trainors songs, but this week we are supposed to write about what our we want our future job to be. The only problem with that is, I have no idea WHAT I am gonna do with my life.

I have thought about becoming a politician, mainly because I love to argue/get my point across.
But the problem with that is its really hard to get a job in it. Which is the same reason I don't want to be an animator anymore. My Cousin Alex in England did a degree in Animation and got A*'s on everything. And still hasn't been able to get a job in the business.

So really this blog post was pointless because I didn't tell you what I wanted to be when I was older. But, at least it was a task ticked of the sheet. Soooooooo..........

::::::: SPORTS FEST :::::::

So this Wednesday we had the Wellington regional sports fest. I played netball and it was really good fun!! Although we didn't win it was a great day. It was a really good experience playing at hai tai tai courts. Especially as that's where they play at collage netball. Probably the coolest part of the day was getting to meet two Olympians. One of them was a cyclist and one of them played hockey. They have both went to London 2012 and the hockey player just qualified for RIO 2016!!!!!

We won 1/5 games but it's ok because the other teams had a lot more experience so we were lucky to have even won 1 game. I am just happy that it was a lovely and sunny day. I also got to be captain yesterday and I've never been captain so I was sooooooooooo exited!

Although it's a shame I couldn't play without my normal netball team, it was great having grace around. It was really nice of her to leave her team to fill in for us. Since she's really good friends with all of us she was the perfect fit.

I would like to thank Karen, Viv, Aimee and especially Miss Higgins for helping out on the day. We couldn't of gone without them.

Anyway it was a great day and I would do it again any time

Dinner party

So this week I am really excited about our blog post question. If you could have any two guests at a dinner party who would they be? So ...... As you probably know I'm a HUGE fan of dance moms so my first guest would be my favourite dancer off the show. Jo Jo!!!!

Some questions I would ask her are....
- What do you want for dinner?
- Where in the world do you want to visit?
- Where do you get all your dance wear?
- Can I have some of your bows?

My next guest would be stitch from the movie Lilo and stitch. He is soooo cute and I mean who wouldn't want an alien at their dinner party.

Image result for STITCH The questions I would ask stitch are...
- What do aliens eat/what do you want for dinner?
-  Do you have a girl friend?
- Do you recommend Hawaii for my next holiday?
- Can you teach me how to hula dance?

Anyway that's it from me. comment down below who you would invite to your dinner party.

Grand parents

this week I have to talk about a special memory I've had with a member of my family. Unfortunately, at the end of last year my grandma passed away. She was 80 and she had dementia so we knew it was coming. Luckily she died happy which was all I could of asked for.

A special memory i have of my grandma was when she and my grandad had their jubilee wedding anniversary. I remember how happy she was. I think it was the last time she saw all of the family together before her passing. It was at the Cobden hotel in bexhill on sea (in England)

I will always remember my grandma for her great poetry, square sausages and her undeniable love for all the family.

Nairnville

Every Thursday of this term we have been going to nairnville rec centre. For the first weeks we did gymnastics and for the last few weeks we have been doing rippa rugby and football. I really enjoyed the gymnastics but the rippa and soccer were a little boring. I'm not really looking forward to next term either as I know we are going to be doing athletics and I hate throwing stuff.

So as I said my favourite part was gymnastics. Even though it's really easy there I find it soooo much fun! I loved when we went on the air track because I got to work on the basic things like standing flicks and round off back tucks. I didn't really find anything challenging but I did take it as an opportunity to work on my cartwheels on beam and my clear circles on bar.

So that's all I gotta say
  🚫 Plz no hate🚫

German

This year we have been learning German. It has been ok but I am defiantly not enjoying it as much as I enjoyed Japanese last year. 🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪

Today we had a test and I didn't do very well. It's annoying because I did know most of the stuff on the test. So far we have learnt ...
Numbers 1-31
How to ask people's names
And to ask how people are doing.

Knowing German would be useful in the future especially as I am from Europe, But I don't really want to continue it in college. I decided I am going to start Chinese at Wellington girls as they don't have Japanese and Chinese is going to be the most useful in the future.

That's all from me, have a nice week.

epic values

Our school has 4 values.
Image result for love heart

Empathy

Perseverance

Image result for running Integrity

Creativity

we remember them together as the
EPIC values.

This week I think I showed the value of Empathy
because I put away miss Higgins school journals for her.

I think the easiest value for me to show is creativity because I have a crazy imagination. The hardest for me is perseverance as sometimes I give up when I find things to hard.

anyway that's all from me.
sorry I didn't post last week as I decided to write my reflection in my book.

@lonesome George died :(
@There is a volcanoes at the moment that's exploding on Isabella and all the pink iguanas are dying

and lots of other cool stuff.

the only bad thing that's come out of this is we have had to write not one but 2 essays.
anyway its done know so what do I have to complain about

sports leader

This year I have really enjoyed being a sports leader. I love taking time out of my day to go about and help other people. My favourite part so far was when I got to coach the junior rippa rugby team when they had a tournament.

I have enjoyed taking the cart down and handing out the balls but the only problem we have are the year 7 and 8 boys who never return any balls and are always breaking everything. We try to help the situation but it never works. The worst part of all of it is that some of the boys are even sports monitors them selves.

As much as I am enjoying the new cart system I much preferred it when we were in the P.E shed. This is because we had control over who took what out the shed. We also have to walk up to the shed every time someone wants a hula hoop, skipping rope or some cricket gear.

But overall I really like my new leadership role of a sports leader.

My second mission fair

last friday was the mission fair and it was really fun. I didn't get much time to look around the other stores but I do know that mine and Jessica's store went amazing. We sold Ice cream and fortunately lots of people turned up and bought some.

We were worried that people weren't going to come because we were tucked away in the staff room where lots of people could of easily missed us. I am glad how succsesful the store was.
If I had to change anything I would probably buy less tropical ice cream as it wasn't as popular (and melted in the end) all the other flavours were top sellers .

The best part about the mission fair was getting lots of FREE ICE CREAM!!!!!!!!!

Gallipoli

Recently in class we have been learning about the battle of Gallipoli. It's really interesting finding out about the Anzacs and the Turks when they were at battle. here are some things I have learnt .....

- I now know how to spell Gallipoli.
-The soldiers landed there boats at the wrong place
- when the soldiers did land, the Turks fired down at them so the had to dig holes in the sand to protect themselves.
-the soldiers had to dig trenches which they lived and fought in.

Every school in new Zealand has been given a cross.

each one with a person who died on it.
Our class was given Private Basil Ernest. He was the youngest man to die in Gallipoli.
Ernest was given the Victoria cross medal because of his bravery. he learnt how to speak Turkish before he left to go to war. one day he over heard the Turks talking about when and where they were going to attack. he then told everyone to move back and while doing so he got shot in the chest.

camp

Last week as you probably know we were on camp and it was really fun.
It went really quickly and I loved it. Some of my favourite activitys were

-caving
-flying fox
-high ropes
-canoeing
-bridge jumping
-camping
and lots more.

I was most proud of completing my lent goal which was to try everything in front of me. I was actually suprised that I did. My absaloute favourite activity would be the flying fox as it was so beautiful. If I could do any of It again I would probably go back to levin park where we stop of at on the way to o.p.c.

Overall Camp was super fun!!

Group work

This week we did  art work on the Maori legends that I was talking about. My favourite thing about it was working with my friends. I was in a group with Jessica, Sylvia and Charlotte and we did the story how Maui caught the sun. It was really exciting working in other classes and getting to work with my friends. I think we worked well together and we all contributed great ideas. If we could do it again I would do it exactly the same, except maybe come up with the ideas quicker. Over all I think we worked really well and I love our artwork

maori legends

This week i have learnt a lot about all the maori legends. My favourite one is the maori creation story. It was really interesting comparing the papa and rangi legend and the christian creation story. I also liked learning about the

Ngake and Whātaitai the taniwha of Wellington harbour

in reading.
I find it really interesting learning about all sorts of cultures. The only thing I don't like is pronouncing the names. I hope we do more this year on maori culture.

Cheer leading

I  really really really really really really really really REALLY want to become a cheer leader. Lots of my friends are cheer leaders and it looks so much fun. I think I would be able to do it as I am a gymnast and can already do the tricks. The only thing I don't know how to do is stunts (which I could learn) The problem is its super expensive ($95 a MONTH) Another reason is my dad sais its stupid high school cheer stuff that he doesn't want me to do. He said and I quote "cheer isn't a sport. wouldn't you rather be in the sport instead of cheering for it." I know its terrible how could he say such a thing. I tried to explain to him that its competitive then he just said "oh great so now you have to go to competitions" my mum seemed fine with it, if I had a way to get there So for now I have to stick to gym. Next year will be a good time though so cheer you haven't seen the last of me

this year

This year is different to the last. new class room, new (ish) teacher and most importantly no big kids Because we are the big kids. lots of things are much better than they were but some are just worse. the Good things are ...
- The are lots more fun responsibility's
-We get to go on camp
-We get a lot more respect
and much more but on the other hand everything we do this year is the last time we do it like
 - the school picnic
-big day out
and all the jobs we didn't get to do we don't get another chance to do.

any way got to eat my lunch (and right a story in about ten minutes) bye
